What Causes Pus Filled Pimple On Gum?

I have a small pus filled pimple on my gum. My teeth above this area are very sensitive. The pimple is knocked when I brush my teeth and pus & blood come out then the tooth above throbs for a few hours. Is this an abscess? Do I need to see a dentist for antibiotics or can I treat this at home?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A pus filled lesion on the gum is indicative of bacterial infection.
Bacterial infection is responsible for collection of pus.
The sensitivity of teeth is probably due to the formation of pus filled lesion.
Although the lesion has ruptured while brushing your teeth, it can recur.
Thus, a course of antibiotic will help to cure the infection.
I suggest you to consult a dentist for clinical assessment and thus management.

Thanks and take care
