Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having issues with pus pockets in my throat. I have been like this for months. It's getting a bit annoying getting phlegm upbthru my throat. The other day I was given levafloxin. Is there something else I can do to get rid of this? I might be allergic to levafloxin.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pus filled spots on the throat which seems to be due to tonsils inflammation leading to tonsillitis. It could be due to poor and compromised immunity of body as well.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid intake of sharp and spicy food and mainatin complete oral hygiene and consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and start treatment after thorough examination. You should go for blood test examination as well. Usually treatment is not necessary, as tonsils get cleared themselves as well after preventive measures. You should do warm saline gargles and suck on lemon candy. You should avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
