What Causes Pus Formation Post A Surgery For Achilles Tendon Muscle Stretching?

I had surgery on Aug. 23rd for Achilles tendon muscle stretching. I just got out of the shower & went to put a fresh bandaid on my stitches and I noticed it was twitching. There is redness and it looks like pus. My Dr. said I do have a little irritation wen he saw me last week. But said to just keep an eye on it. Can u tell me what is going on?

Hello,

It may be an infection at the site of surgery.

Get an ultrasound done and discuss with your Doctor for the possibility of starting antibiotics.

Local medication such as pus evacuation may be needed as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
