Hi, I am a 20 year university student and was recently told that "pyuria" was found in my urine. I then had to do a blood and urine test but am yet to do a tuberculin test. I was wondering whether there are any foods or drinks that I should eat to stop or slow this or anything that I should avoid. I do not have any symptoms of TB. However, when I went to see my doctor after i received news of pyuria in my urine, I did a urine test and the doctor said that no bacteria waas shown... Please help me out doc.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There can be various reasons for pyuria without bacteria as tuberculosis, calculus, certain auto immune conditions, intra-abdominal infections or others.
I would recommend a systemic work up for the case and guide accordingly.
