Hello,

Upper respiratory tract infection, cold or sinusitis can give you a metallic taste in the mouth. Take warm beverage and soup to feel better, keep cough lozenges to avoid coughing. Get clinically examined by an ENT, get X-ray PNS done to detect sinusitis, sinusitis also causes nausea and anxiety. Get treated.

Stay at rest, take antiemetics if required. Take home made nutritious diet, take adequate amount of fluids and water. Other symptoms may be the early symptoms of pregnancy if you were sexually active and had unprotected sex. You are suggested to get a repeat urine test for pregnancy done with the first morning mid stream urine.

Get also per vaginal examination done to detect bulk uterus. USG (Uterus and fallopian tube) to detect ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts or gestational age of the fetus & its well being if pregnant.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

There are several potential causes for a racing heart and nausea, including:
* Anxiety or stress: These emotions can cause physical symptoms such as rapid heart rate, nausea, and a metallic taste in the mouth.
* Medication side effects: Some medications, including cold medications like DayQuil, can cause side effects like a racing heart and nausea.
* Hormonal imbalances: Changes in hormone levels, such as those that occur during pregnancy or due to thyroid problems, can cause physical symptoms.
* Dehydration: Not drinking enough water can cause a variety of symptoms, including a racing heart and nausea.
* Heart problems: Certain heart conditions, such as arrhythmias or heart disease, can cause a racing heart and other symptoms.

It's important to see a doctor if you are experiencing these symptoms regularly or if they are severe. Some tests may be needed to rule out underlying medical conditions. They may also ask about your medical history, lifestyle, and any medications you are taking to determine the cause of your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
