Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had trouble with my hip/leg for a few months. I have seen my orthopedic doctor and he originally diagnosed it as hip brusitus. I have received 3 cortizone injections with no help. Recently, the discomfort has been in the groin which feels like a groin pull and also aching on the right side of my leg from the hip to ankle.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello,
It seems the hip bursitis is pressing on the nerve sulpying affected part/ it's sciatica due to sciatic nerve pressure at lumber spine due to disc problem.
MRI would discriminate between two followed by treatment of bursitis plus the radiating pain as per the cause found (medicines, physiotherapy or surgery)please get an expert orthopedic help.
Till then take rest, avoid paifulo ement or weight bearing movements avoid bending down.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
