What Causes Radiating Pain In Lower, Upper Left Arm And Left Shoulder?

Hi! I somehow accidentally scraped some skin off my right hand, and so there s a large circle of skin missing now on my hand. There s skin underneath it of course. Today I started having pain throughout my lower and upper left arm, as well some of my left shoulder. The pain isn t too intense, but it s been ongoing all day. I just wanted to make sure there wasn t a correlation between my hand sore and the arm pain. Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to peripheral neuropathy.

For confirmation, you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies, vitamin B12 after physician consultation.

You can take tablet acetaminophen for pain.

You may require tablet Pregabalin after consultation.

Do regular physical therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
