What Causes Rainbow Halo Vision Which Disappears After Blinking?

HI i am worried
I saw rainbow halo ard my both eyes upon waking but they disappear after i blink a few times I think it lasted for a few sceonds most prob less than a min. What could be the cause? I had this prob once last month upon waking and it was only my left eye which had an internal stye. had my eye checked the other time and turn out my doc used gonioscopy check my eye pressure was ok, angles ok, no visual field lost. So what should I do? is it just a case of slight cornea edema due to i dunno dry eyes symptoms cos when i sleep my eyes dun totally close.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having problem of seeing colored halos.
Colored halos which disappear on blinking are seen typically in discharge covering the eyes as in conditions like conjunctivitis.
Since your intraocular pressure is normal, glaucoma evaluation has been done no need to worry.
Your case appears to be only of mucous coating of cornea, hence no need to worry.
The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops and artificial tears.

Thank you
