What Causes Raised Bruise With Hardening On The Side Of Calf?
All of a sudden I felt an itch on my leg. Looked down and it was a raised bruise with hardening on the side of my calf. The hardening isn t as bad, but the area is blueish stil. I took a marker and outlined the area and circled the part in the middle that seems hard. Wondering if it is a clot or vein? I did not bump it.

After the injury such appearance of the skin is very likely and this is due to formation of hematoma called "Ecchymosis" means escape of blood from vascular rupture and get in tissue causes color change, this may take some time to come around, care need to be taken for infection else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
