What Causes Raised Bumps At The Back Of The Neck With Clear Liquid Discharge?
I have a row of four spots bumps raised on the back of my neck raised skin and surrounding the are a long slits in the skin that trace around the area...a very thin layer of clear liquid seeps out of the slits which are long and surround the area, I can not see the very thin layer liquid but I can feel it with my hand it is quick to cover the skin and dries to a tough gel like rubbery consistency almost immediately, its tacky and then dry and very tough like a protective layer. hot water will melt it away, but it quickly returns. also a couple of hard bumps under the skin and next to that one bump sticks up and has a slit in it and the same layer of gel comes out and covers that area. there are slits there as well. They do not itch. its been over a month.
A photo would be very helpful through the diagnosis. The symptoms can be related to herpes zoster which is a viral infection. I suggest to use Acyclovir cream for local application. I also suggest using Acyclovir tablets three times a day for a week.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
