Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I noticed last week that my daughter who is 3 week 2days old had a raised lump to the sole of his foot, on the inside side. . The exact same place. Could it be that there are glands there or something?! That makes them swell?? It looks very unusual and both lumps are about the same size.It does not contain any pain...( I guess) as i push thode lumps my little dear does not make any reaction on this......
Is those lump normal for everyone or it some kind of diseases. Her mother is suffering from HVB and after birth the doctor give 2 shot of HBSag and immunoglobiline.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern.
It is very difficult to comment what that lump is without a physical examination. If the baby is not crying when the lump is touched or there is no redness around that or there is no local raise of temperature then it is very unlikely to be because of infection. You should consult your doctor at the earliest for a complete physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Further management depends on the diagnosis made. So consult your doctor for a examination to identify the cause.
