Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in my later 30's. I had a low grade fever of about 99 last week Friday. On the same day I began developing a rash around the base of my neck. On Saturday the rash has spread up my neck and the sides of my face. On Sunday it covered my whole neck, sides of my face and behind my ears. My Monday it spread to across my forehead and began to move down my face, while the rash behind my ears became more dense. I purchased some over the counter benedryl lotion to use but the only thing it has done is reduce the redness. The raised bumps are still there. No itch. A slight burning feeling on my face and when I touch the rash behind my ears. The rest of the rash is still there but doesn't hurt. I haven't eaten anything new or tried any new creams, lotions or soaps. Any idea how to get rid of it? My new guess is a stress rash b/c I'm stressed but don't know why that would include a low grade fever at the start.
