Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I have a raised white spot on my face (cheek). It has been there since about March and has not grown, changed in color, etc. It doesn t itch. I don t know if it is a wart. The spot is somewhat crackily in appearance; I d say similar to a dried piece of cottage cheese, but not as white as that food product. Thanks in advance for your help. Jani
Understanding your concern. As per your query raised white spot on face is most probable due to fungal infection. It could be due to excessive exposure to sunlight, excessive sweating and humid environment which leads to condition known as tinea versicolor. I would suggest you to protect your skin from sun exposure. Apply turmeric paste as it will give beneficial effects. Use anti fungal cream containing clotrimazol .Apply it twice a day . If symptoms persists for more then a week or get worse consult dermatologist ,so that doctor can evaluate properly to rule out other conditions and may prescribe you oral antifungal or topical steroids. Wash your face twice a day with mild soap.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
