What Causes Raises Sores With Scabs On Leg And Arm After A Surgery?
I had surgery on my leg and arm about a month ago due to a motorcycle accident. I was placed on an antibiotic after my surgery. I have two tiny raised sores with scabs, that I have had for about two weeks and they want go away. They are not sore and there seems to be no sign of puss or infection. I was wondering if it could possibly be MRSA. I did develop a staph infection after surgery on my hand 10 years ago.
Hi I did review your concern. Your sores could be due to infection due to previous injury or it could be outside manifestation of osteomyelitis if bone was fractured during injury. I would recommend you to consult your treating doctor and get the lesion evaluated. Staphylococcus and streptococcus may cause skin lesions like this known as impetigo and it necessarily does not mean MRSA. I hope this helps Wish you all the best Thank you for using healthcare magic.
