What Causes Raising Of Arms By An Infant When Tired?
My 6 month old healthy granddaughter just started and has had three episodes, that we know of, of raising her arms and rolling her eyes up, while in her little swing. This usually happens when tired. Her arms go up simultaneously with her eyes and repeats maybe 6-8 times.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
In my opinion, this is normal behavior of Infant. But better to rule out seizure activity because she is also having up rolling of eye balls along with arm movements. So consult pediatrician and get done clinical examination. If needed EEG (electro encephalo gram) should be done to rule out seizure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
