What Causes Random Bruises On The Hands And Stomach?
Hi I woke up yesterday morning with 5 bruise on my left hand side of my stomach I didn t bang into anything so they not from an injury I did have severe stomach cramps earlier in the day then these bruise have appeared overnight what is the cause of this ? There should a sight tender pain around the bruised area
Sudden unexplained bruising can be due to various reasons. It's not necessarily due to trauma or scratching. However, there are following possibilities you should consider:
1) It can be benign.
2) It can be due to a hypersensitivity reaction.
3) It can be due to underlying bleeding disorder since they cause purpuric spots which appear out of nowhere in the skin due to underlying bleed.
4) It can be due to medications which cause thinning of blood too.
A Dermatologist or a Physician will help you to identify the cause with further history and examination.
