What Causes Random Electric Shock Like Feeling In Left Palm?
Hi, lately I have been experiencing random electric shock like feelings in the middle of my left palm. Nowhere else in my body just my hand. I had an accident over 10 years ago in that hand where it was cut quite badly and then about 5 or 6 years ago it was reoperated on to allow my hand to grow. The shocks have been getting more severe causing much discomfort. Also, I am 35 weeks pregnant, if that could be something to do with it.
Based on your history,Peripheral neuropathy or nerve compression should be suspected.Vitamin B12 deficiency should be ruled out.Tendon inflammation can also compress the nerve in your arm which can lead to electric shock like symptoms which can occur in pregnancy.Nerve conduction studies can be done to test your nerve function.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
