What Causes Random Patterns Of Goosebumps On Thighs Or Shins?

Patches/random patterns of goosebumps keep appearing on my thighs or shins for 5-10 seconds each time. It s happened at least 10 times the past few days. This happens for a few days every few months. I don t know what it could be. It doesn t happen when I m cold, specifically, but just at random times.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is mostly cold related but can be associated with anxiety, extreme sadness, joy, sexual arousal can also cause this. Besides vitamin A, B2 and other vitamin deficiency can also cause this. Further history and examination will help. Please ensure an appointment to some doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sheikh Zubair, General & Family Physician
