What Causes Rapid Heart Beat And Black Stool After Taking Prednisone?

I have been taking prenidsone 40 mg a day for Bell Palsy for 3 weeks now and since yesterday i started feeling a rapid heart beat and seen black stool...is this suposs to happen while taking this medication?...thanks..I am 53...5 8 ...190 pounds...thaks
