What Causes Rapid Heart Beat And Lightheadedness In A 51 Year Old Person?

Light headache with rapid heart beat can be part of underlying development of valvular heart issue mostly involving aortic valve either in terms of age related stiffening or atherosclerotic narrowing and secondary stenosis. Kindly get a consultation with an expert cardiologist and get EKG with 2D Echo done for further in depth assessment of the condition. I do not agree with possibility of depression with these symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
