What Causes Rapid Heart Rate After Eating Sugary Food?
Hi, if i eat a lot of sugar (or any simple carbs0 i get a rapid heartbeat and the day after the skin along the sides of my torso is sore (it feels like sunburn, but look no different than normal) my Dr said maybe reactive hyperglycemia, but no clue about the soreness...
Dear madam/sir i can understand your concern in my opinion the reason for rapid heartbeat might be due to low sugar which can be due to excessive insulin secretion. This condition is called as reactive hyperglycemia. This kind of condition is seen in very early stage of diabetes due to insulin resistance. Excessive abdominal fat is the main reason to develop insulin resistance. but to confirm this diagnosis i need to look in to your physical profile like height and weight for further discussion. soreness might be due to allergy i suggest you to consider meeting dermatologist. kindly check for blood sugar fasting and extended GTT is gold standard investigation.
High blood sugar damages blood vessels and also nerves. Neuropathy in hyperglycemia may have symptoms like either numbness or burning sensation. Immunity is lowered in diabeticsand hence chances of soreness is high. Rapid heart rate may be due to the exertion of eating or excitement of eating.
