Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my 5 year old healthy son just came up to me frightened and said " my heart is beating really fast and it hurts and my stomache hurts". Prior to that he was calm, he does not have a fever. He has never said anything like this before. I felt his chest compared to his twin and it was jumping out of his chest. When his heart rate slowed down I then realized how very fast it was going. This has never happened before. The whole thing lasted about 2 minutes. He is back to himself. What do you make of this?
Condition demands the medical examination and it can not be taken as granted or lightly it may be due to some congenital cardiac disease, I would advise you to get done the ECHO and EKG it is safe to get it done than not to go for that and take risk, of course it does not seems to be specific but can not be taken as granted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
