What Causes Rapid Rise In Heart Beat And Pulse Rate?

I am having a fast heart beat. My pulse is about 136 per minute, it is usually 60 to 70. Started just as I finished dinner. I did have a cup of caffine tea about 2 hours earlier, and 2 small cups, one tea bag, at 9:30am. However, I often have this much tea. This happened about 9 months ago, but my cardiologist just said to hold my breath, and relax. He didn t seem concerned. I know I have [ ] regurgitation --ventrical(?) I can t remember the first part.

Hello,

Fast heart rate 136 per minute us is very fast. Caffeine tea may cause heart rate fast and to make sure that you is safe you should see your doctor. He or she may need to do ECG to see if any abnormal heart contractility or any other problem from your heart.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
