Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rapid Rise In Heart Rate And Breathlessness?
3 years ago I noticed that my heart would beat so fast that it felt as if a wheel was spinning out of control but only lasted a few seconds. At the same time I would lose my breath and cough. Now it has increased from maybe once a month to 3 or for times at a time several times a week... What can this be?
I went through your details. Ii can understand. If you are talking about only the heart beating rate (palpitation) and breathlessness and without any associated symptoms, then most probably the reason is anxiety disorder. But I suggest you to consult a physician first and get yourself thoroughly evaluated for any organic health conditions which could result in palpitation and breath problem. Then, if there is no physical problems, please consult a psychologist for further treatment for anxiety disorder with the help of psychotherapy and life style changes.
If you still need my assistance in this regard, please use this link. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Please remember to describe the whole problem with full detail.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck. Take care.
