Hello,

From your description I am of the opinion that your hubby should go for a bladder and ptostrate ultrasound to know how much urine is stored and is prostrate enlarged enough to compress urethra.

Kidney function tests along with e-GFR is needed too to know the formation of urine.

He should still be checked for any such hypertension even after having theses drugs. All of this will determine the direction of diagnosis and further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
