What Causes Rapid Weight Gain Post A Dental Surgery?
I have been gaining weight for about a year. I had dental surgery a year and a half ago, then I was hospitalized with Pneumonia, sepsis, blood clot, and UTI. I went from 145lb. to 162lb. since that time. My dietary changes have been dramatic since the dental surgery. I eat on an average six greek yogurts and drink one to two 7-ups. The Pulmonary doctor mentioned something about gland not functioning, what could be causing this weight gain.
As per your query your weight gain does not seems to be related to dental surgery, rather can be due to some side effects of medicines like Steroids if you were advised for the infection..
Secondly your diet is also appearing unhealthy and eating plenty of sugars and carbs can caus3 weight gain..
I would suggest you to consult an ENDOCRINOLOGIST or General Physician and get evaluated and a complete blood test and hormonal profile. has to be done to rule out the exact cause of the problem and will be treated accordingly..
Along with it start cutting down on excess of carbs and sugary foods and drinks, take more of fibres and green vegetables in diet, drink plenty of water and do brisk walk..
Any further queries are welcome..
Regards.
