Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is it normal to have rapid weight gain before a loss? I usually eat a little less than 1000 calories, around 920, and work of all, if not more, calories. I try to only eat fresh foods with lots of protein like eggs and broccoli, but I’ve still gained. Why?
I understand your concern. Weight gain can be caused due to many reasons. I suggest you to check hormone levels and thyroid levels. Also there are some medications that cause weight gain. Another factor is stress.
I hope that clarifies your concerns. Thank you for the query.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
