What Causes Rash Between Wrist And Elbow And Persistent Vomiting Despite Taking Medication?
My 8 year old daughter had a rash which started between her wrist and elbow, and moved to the rest of her body within the day yesterday. I gave her benadryl yesterday and to no avail. Went to Dr and they prescribed prednisone. That made her vomit for the remainder of the day yesterday. We stopped the prednisone today but she is still vomiting and the rash is also still there. It is now day 2 and the vomiting has turned into bile and nausea. She had a boul movement today and has not had an appetite at all. Nothing different with food or detergents. I am borderline ER at this point. Any advice
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, such skin rash in children is due to allergy and most of the time it is self limiting and may not need any treatment, at the most it can be managed with antihistamine and best drug would be "Chlorpheniramine maleate" it is advisable to avoid steroid as long as it is possible, hope this information may helps you take care and have a nice day.
