Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 5 y.o. Daughter developed a sudden rash while in the shower. She was using a mild cleanser that she uses all the time & the water wasn t too hot. The rash wasn t itchy, she said it didn t really hurt, and is fading now. It looked somewhat like a splotchy sunburn all over the front of her trunk, neck, & legs.
As per your query, your child has symptoms of rash on neck and legs which is mainly due to contact dermatitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you keep this area clean and dry and apply a cream containing azelaic acid. Apply warm compresses with a soaked towel and apply vitamin C serum at night. If the condition doesn't get better then consult a dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor will examine physically and may prescribe immunosuppressants. Avoid itching and pricking rashes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
