Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rash On The Thighs After Unprotected Intercourse?
I had unprotected sex on 17th June. In late July, I had a brief fever for just two days and the doctor examined me and said I was not medically sick because my temp. was 37.1 deg. cent.I developed rash on my thighs and painless sore in my mouth which disappeared within two days. I now have mild soar throat pain. (only feel it when i swallow saliva not when eating). I have been going for rapid test which shows negative on 10th weeks. Please what else can I do because I feel all these are symptoms of HIV
Hello, I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.
The symptoms you have mentioned and the history you told are more likely towards a sexually transmitted disease and dont worry in HIV you dont have all those symptoms unless and until you have very less cd4 count and that wont happens in days. If you were my patient I will definitely suggest you to have screening for sexually transmitted diseases which is common with unprotected sex and if it is positive you and your husband both need to take treatment. Hope this answers your query.
Regards, Dr.Alekhya.
