Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rash On The Upper Chest With Pain In Legs?
my 6 year old granddaughter has a light pink rash on her upper chest. She has complained of leg aches and what she said felt like a sliver on the tip of her finger (there was no sliver and the pain went away quickly) she had the same stinging feeling on her foot. (also went away quickly). Do you have any idea what could be causing this? She does not have a fever and the rash does not itch. (although it did when she first got it a day ago) Thank you for any information you can give.
The rash on upper chest with pain in legs may be indicative of underlying viral infection most likely. The guidelines for the better management are: - Allow more liquids - Cleansing with antiseptic liquid - Local application of aloe vera gel - Anti histamineCetirizine or Diphenhydramine
Discuss need of any antibiotic with her pediatrician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
