What Causes Rash On Thigh Post Intake Of Ultram And Flexeral?

I thought l had a pulled muscle in my grion and thigh. Very painful!! After 5 days l finally took Ultram and Flexeral. No help. Took double dose. Helped a good bit. Thigh muscle was very tender- like numbness wearing off after a tooth pulled. Now l have a rash on my thigh. Any idea what this is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

You are suffering from allergic reaction due to the pain killer that you have used.Allergy in the form of rash and itching can occur with the use of pain killers.

Mild reactions will subside with medications.Antihistamines and steroids are the drug of choice. Injectable forms are available for both drugs which can be used.

Kindly avoid taking double the dose.Visit your physician in case of persisting rash, throat pain ,facial swelling or breathing problems since it may indicate severe form of allergy and should be treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
