What Causes Rashes And Bumps On Breast After Taking Oxycodone?

I have a rash on my breast. It isn t itchy so much as it is tender. There are about 20 raised bumps ranging in size from a pin point to the size of a pencil eraser. Some of them had a small blister in the center and now 3 days later some have a dark grey brown dot in the center. The only thing that has changed in my everyday life is that I took a quarter of a 30mg Oxycodone. What the heck is going on?

Hello,

The rash is worrisome for possible herpes infection. A physical examination can confirm the diagnosis. So follow up with your primary provider to confirm the diagnosis and possibly getting started on antivirals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
