What Causes Rashes And Itchiness On The Palm Of An Infant?
My toddler has a rash on the palm of her hands that is really itchy especially at night. In between her toes, her toes are very itchy as well. I brough her to the doctor a week ago but he didn't know what it is. The itching is worse at night. Could this be scabies?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes and itchiness on the palm of an infant. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , eczema , psoriasis or side effects of certain medicine . I would suggest you to not to apply any cosmetic product , apply cold compresses several times a day and take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test and allergy test . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants , anti inflammatory along with corticosteroid ointment .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
