Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had rashes Near genitals and in between both thighs , I had a visit to my Dermatologist 18 months ago where upon I was suggested with Lulifin Cream at Night With Regular usage of Clotrimazole Dusting Powder . Rashes have gone black , They do itch , Is there any permanent solution to this ! If I don t use dust powder , I tend to develop itching again in a week or so!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have rashes in the groin area which can occur due to many reasons like contact dermatitis, allergic reaction due to detergent, soap , fragrance , chemical, metal such as in jewelry, poison oak or ivy, an animal bite, or an insect sting and could be due to folliculitis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antihistamine , corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline shot . For now take benadryl twice a day and apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product. Maintain complete hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
