Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rashes On Back, Chest, Stomach And Hips?
I woke up with rash over my back, chest, stomack and hips. Top part of thighs too and back of thighs rash hurts from sitting too long. It seems evenly spread, but I have no idea what happened. My skin feels extremely dry too and I have not put lotion on worrying it will make it worse or irratate. I m going on the second night, third day. I am taking Benadryl at night, but no difference in two days. I have not changed detergents, soaps, or eaten anything different from the normal. I m a healthy eater too.
As per your query you have symptoms of frequent rashes which can occur due to allergic reaction which could be possibly due to detergent, soap, fragrance, chemical, metal, an animal bite, or an insect sting.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to avoid frequent touching or pricking rashes. You should apply cold compresses and avoid any cosmetic product as of now. Drink plenty of water. You should consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antihistamine, corticosteroid ointment and may give adrenaline short. Maintain complete hygiene.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
