What Causes Rashes On Body, Thick Flaky Crust On Scalp And Night Sweats?

64 year old man with rash over entire body . scalp has a thick flakey crust hair has all came out in patches .Has been threw on Prednisone for over 2 years for the rash all over his body he says he itches so bad that if he had a gun hed end it .Now he has the same thick crusty looking stuff on the bottoms of his feet &the palms of his hands .he is also having night sweats. please help.what can this be?

I really appreciate your concern, chronic dermatitis could be the cause, as matter of fact such skin disease demands the clinical examination for proper diagnosis, it may be due to some systemic disease this also need to be ruled out for that several test need to be carried out, so better to see the dermatologist, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
