What Causes Rashes On Face And Neck After Taking Zoladex Shot?

Hello, I started taking exemestane and getting the zoladex implant about a month ago for breast cancer. I ve noticed that I get a acne looking rash on my face and neck a few days after the zoladex injection. I don t know if that is from them or if it s just my body getting rid the chemo drugs. Is there anything that I can take over the counter that will help with that? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest you to use antihistamines daily such as Cetirizine one tablet a day. I also suggest you to use a steroid cream for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
