What Causes Rashes On Hands And Body While On Motrin And Tylenol For Fever?

My daughter had a three week bout with a 7-day fever which went away after overlapping taking motrin and tylenol, then came vomitting which her dr felt was due to consitpation, then a rash on most of her body, hands included. She was on a steroid which helped the rash. Also, she was tested for mono and flu and both were negative. She had other blood tests and urine samples that didn t show anything. She been good for two weeks and is not back at college and the rash on her hands is back with a slight fever. Since she had this at home, we re ruling out environmental causes. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a viral rash.
I suggest using an antihistamine such a Cetirizine.
I also suggest to continue using the steroid cream for local application.
The rash will go away gradually.
