What Causes Rashes On Inner Thigh After Having Hormone Replacement Implant?
I recently had a hormone replacement pellet implanted, now 8 weeks later I have an itchy rash that started at the implant area and now on my inner thighs. I ve had it for a week now and the rash seems to be growing wider in the same area on both inner thighs. I have done made any other changes in diet detergent or clothing. Could this be a reaction to the implant?
There is no study to link the rashes on other area of body apart from the local area of insertion of hormone replacement implant. However, local skin tenderness, redness, swelling, itching and rashes may be there. These local symptoms usually are transient and go by themselves without any treatment or with OTC analgesics / anti-inflammatory like Tylenol or Ibuprofen etc. In your case, if the rashes persist or increase, then you are advised to consult your doctor regarding this and treatment done accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
