What Causes Rashes On The Body After Stopping Warfarin?

I have been on warfarin sodium 15 mg a day for aprox 7 year recently in the last three week i have not been able to get my medications .my question is i have broke out with hives .which i have never in my life had on my legs arms shoulders.nothing other than this medicine has change in my life .nothing new or different .could this be a side affect from not taking them ?

Hello,

After stopping of warfarin may develop chances of blood clots in different parts of the body may give different side effects.

But sudden stopping may not cause a skin rash. It may be due to some other drugs or cytoclastic vasculitis to warfarin.

Until the examination of the lesions, it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Atarax 25 twice a day for five days. Use Lactocalamine lotion all over the body.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
