What Causes Rashes On The Body Along With Headache And Breathing Difficulty?

Hi, My daughter has developed hives starting on her back and stomach. I gave her Benadryl orally and used the spray. They seemed to get better, then she woke up in the middle of the night and they seemed to be better in the initial area but spread to her sides , legs, arms. I repeated again in the morning, and they seem to have gotten worse, spreading to her neck, face and further on her arms and legs. She has no fever, sore throat, headache or difficulty breathing. She says they are just itchy. They are flat, red and vary from the size of a dime to a silver dollar. She seems to be fine, but wondering if I should continue to treat with Benadryl and take her to her doctor in the morning or have her checked our at the ER.

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to a an allergic reaction.

If she have breathing difficulties, I suggest to go at the emergency room for further evaluation.

I suggest steroid injections for treatment.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
