What Causes Rashes On The Face And Itchy Bumps Around The Chin?
HI, I have been suffering with a rash on primarily my face, mostly in the jawline ...now on both sides. I have been dealing with it for several months. I suspect that I contacted it in the Head and Neck Dept. of the Health Plan Clinic during a scope- exam of my throat because is started closely following the appointment. It actually started on my neck with a painful lesion that itched and looked like a bite approximately 8mm round. Then I started to get itchy bumps near my chin and jaw line...and later on facial areas near my ear...and on, and one for months. I would seem as if it was going away at times but hasn t.
Painful, itchy lesion on chin and jaw line and spreading to ear could be due to primary skin condition. The lesions could be infectious, however, a clinical assessment and relevant investigations are required to confirm the diagnosis.
I am of the opinion that the lesions may not be associated with scope examination in past. I suggest you to consult your dermatologist for further management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri,
Pathologist and Microbiologist
