Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a rash/blistering on my palms that came on suddenly this morning that is barely responding to anti-histamine and I have been feeling faint for a couple of days. I am unable to pinpoint an allergen, though the rash is common when I am exposed to lavender products
You have noticed allergy to lavender products specifically then you should avoid using such products. Sometimes it needs stronger treatment for allergic reactions not just antihistamines and that should be after consulting a dermatologist. As knowing the cause is very important.
Visit a dermatologist, and mention the history regarding the appearance of the rash, your dermatologist will examine the rash and further guide you on the management of the same. He might advice you to get some diagnostic tests done to know the underlying cause behind the rash. With appropriate medicines prescribed by your dermatologist improvement will be seen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
