What Causes Rashes On The Scalp While On Amoxicillin And Clavulanate?
My 10 year old was diagnosed with Strep Throat earlier today. She was prescribed Amoxicillin and Clavulanate 250 mg/62.5 mg/5 ml and has taken two doses. She has had a rash since Wednesday that has now spread from her scalp to the nape of her neck, back, chest and stomach. Could this be associated with the strep?

It might be allergic eruption. As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
