What Causes Rashes On Upper Chest, Lower Left Stomach And Below Knee?
yes I ve been getting rashes on my upper chest lower left stomach lower below the knee on leg and calf and they seem to be mostly on my left side I also have rashes all within my hair line been to the doctor and have been on several different medications and even two different types of antibiotics nothing works
Rashes in the upper chest, lower chest and below the knees are commonly caused by contact dermatitis or fungal infection that is causing rashes within your hairline. Take a course for fluconazole orally and maintain your hygiene, take bath regularly. Shampoo with Selsun or ketoconazole shampoo regularly. Oil your scalp with a thin layer of coconut or almond oil. If the rashes are itchy apply ointment hydrocortisone or clotrimazole on the area affected. It should reduce discomfort.
You can take antihistamine, one at bed time. Do not scratch, touch or pick. Do not wear jewelry made from nickel or gold, perfumes, chemicals or latex gloves. Stay away from skin care products for a couple of days. Get clinically assessed by a dermatologist, get STD tests done to detect any STI, if reports are positive you will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
