I have a really bad rash under my belly roll how do i know if it is a yeast infection or just a heat rash i have a job where i sweat alot and have lost weight but this roll is hard to lose. I shower and use gold bond powder that helps but always the rash comes back. This is winter and I sweat bad at work. I dread summer so bad. I there any way this can go away?
Dear Friend Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
Such a rash over belly roll with additional history of excess sweating goes in favor of fungal infection.
For this, i usually advice my patients to take tab fluconazole 150mg once a week along with topical antifungals like clorimazole, sertraconazole or miconazole cream twice daily over the lesions.
For symptomatic relief, you can take tab levocetrizine 5 mg night time.
keep the area clean and dry.
Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion. If you wish to discuss the problem further with me , you may ask through section of PREMIUM query , directed on my name. Stay Healthy.
