Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
9 month old all of a sudden has raspy voice. No other symptoms, no fever, has not been crying. She has cut 2 bottom front teeth and I suspect there are others coming through as she has been acting all of the ways she does when this is occurring. I live really far out of town in Montana and don t know if I should bring her to Dr. Or if it could be just related to teething. Thanks for your time and help. -Tina
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Raspy voice is a symptom of viral infection or allergy or acid reflux. If your child does not have any other symptom, just watch him and measure the body temperature often. Try to feed him properly and don't make him lie down immediately after feeding. If you see any sing of dyspnea or temperature, visit him to pediatrician.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
