Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rectal Bleeding While Having Hemorrhoids?
I was in a car wreck a little over a week ago and tweaked my back a little. Today, when I went to the restroom I had a large amount of blood in my stool. So much that the entire toilet water was red and the toilet paper was covered in blood. I ve been diagnosed with hemroids before and jut needed to eat more fiber and all was fine, but I want to make sure tha these two things are not related because of the amount of blood there was.
The two things don't seem to correlate. Yeah, hemorrhoids can cause massive bleeding, which is fresh and bright red in colour. You need to see your doctor as soon as possible to rule out other local and systemic causes of bleeding per rectum and at the same time give treatment as required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
