What Causes Rectal Bleeding With Itching And Sores?

A 70-year-old male construction worker reports to your clinic after experiencing rectal bleeding for over 1 month. He has noticed small amounts of blood after every bowel movement. He had a colonoscopy 2 years ago with normal results. The patient has no fever, chills, dysuria, abnormal urinary frequency, or abdominal pain. The patient reports occasional rectal itching and pain. He states he has no noticeable sores on his rectal area and no family history of colorectal cancer.

Blood is very irritant to the skin hence any rectal bleeding can behave like this.

Have you seen any doctor before regarding this. if you have seen any sores around the rectum area you must not weight longer as we should rule out any inflammatory bowel diseases. these conditions can some times cause fistulas or sinus tract (bowels communicating to the skin) resulting in sores and also itching.

if it is simple rectal bleeding there are many reasons like hemorrhoids, fissures, diverticulitis/diverticulosis and rarely cancer.

as you have all the above three please visit doctor.
